Please allow me to introduce myself. 

My name is Jago Holmes and I am the principal trainer here at New Image Personal Training in Halifax. 

I'm proud to be part of Calderdale's most successful and established personal training companies. I'm also a qualified and experienced personal trainer.

My company, New Image Personal Training has been in operation for the past 10 years.  We consistently get great results from our one to one clients and I am proud of the individual and exclusive service that they receive.

About Me
 

I have written regular newspaper articles for local press as well as a publishing a range of digital ebooks and weight loss packages.  I regularly present weight loss seminars as well as running my acclaimed '8 week weight loss challenge' in which the winners receive a top prize of £500.00.

I completed my training with YMCA in 2000 after 3 years studying when I attained the YMCA Personal Trainer award, which is one of the highest and most respected qualifications available in the UK for Personal Trainers.

I am a qualified Gym Instructor and worked for Calderdale MBC from 1998 - 2002 in this role.

I am also a qualified sports leader and prior to working with adults worked for Leisure in Action coaching children in many areas including tennis, basketball and football.

  • What's the best bit about your job?
I love doing a job I enjoy, I think that people who are passionate about what they do and the results they can achieve with the people they are lucky to work with are far more effective than someone who chooses to do a job for a certain amount of money. I have done both and feel very lucky to be able to do this job now.
  • What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?
I like writing about health and fitness, I have published a number of digital ebooks which I sell online all over the world from Australia to brazil. I also very much enjoy walking and playing badminton.
  • What's your favourite drink
Depends on when it is, during the week I like to drink fruit juice and sparkling water or on a weekend night a cold beer or glass of wine, it depends how I feel, some weeks I won't drink anything alcoholic but if I do its always in moderation.
  • Favourite food
Carrot cake and pizza (but only as treats)
  • Favourite local restaurant or pub -
Shibden Mill Inn or The Old Silent Inn in Oxenhope, because of the warm, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of them both
  • Favourite Book - 
Thoroughly enjoy any Paul McKenna books because of his approach to training the mind. For any successful changes to be made your mind has to be programmed first.
